Project Overview

HM Precision Engineering was engaged by Pacific Coast Contracting to provide project management services in support of the construction activities associated with the GCI Solutions Eastern and Western Force Main Condition Assessment Program.

The objective of the program was to facilitate detailed condition assessments of the existing Eastern and Western Force Mains, essential infrastructure assets within the regional wastewater network. The scope encompassed 37 dispersed sites, including parklands, public roads, and utility corridors, requiring meticulous planning and coordination to manage stakeholder interfaces and minimise disruption.

HM Precision Engineering services included:

• Deep excavations to safely expose live force mains within constrained and sensitive environments
• Support for the condition assessment, including Ultrasonic Pipe Scanning, Coupon Extraction, and subsurface material assessments
• Environmental and safety management across varied terrain, with a focus on asset protection and public safety
